Reference #23: What Got You Here Won't Get You There

The only feedback question that works, when asked by you, is "How can I do better?". Questions such as "What do you like about me?" and "What do you hate about me?" are framed as criticisms of a person, not as advice. They are also directed at the unchangeable past. "How can I do better?" solicits advice, is aimed at the future, and is framed in such a way as to suggest that you are actively trying to improve and would act on the feedback.
