Reference #94: Better People Analytics
Two key relational measures for an individual in an organisation are constraint and aggregate prominence.
Constraint measures how limited that person is in gathering information; having a loose, diverse network leads to low constraint. Individuals with low constraint are more likely to generate more and better ideas due to their access to novel information.
Aggregate prominence measures the connectedness of an individual, including not only how connected they are to others but how well-connected their connections are. Individuals with high aggregate prominence are better influencers; their ideas can spread far through their strong connections.
