#1a3: A writer's style.

A writer's style is an expression of self. They reveal something of themselves in their use of language. This has two important implications.

First, there is no guidebook to follow for good style. Style is what works for a writer; good judgment can, for example, overrule good grammar.

Second, as an expression of self, a writer's work invites others to connect with them. When written with simplicity and sincerity, a work shows who a writer is; this openness draws readers in to believe.
