#3: The team, not the individual, is the smallest unit in an organisation.
At least amongst those who "do the work" (in an engineering organisation, these being engineers, designers, and product managers — individual contributors), the smallest atomic unit of work is the team. Collaboration, teamwork, and shared purpose have a multiplicative effect on the outcome of work; the team is, in earnest, greater than the sum of its parts.
The value gained through aligning the efforts of many leads to superior results over many hands in many directions.
