DeMarco and Lister offer a few approaches to improving a meeting-heavy culture:
- Aim to eliminate ceremonies. Instead use that time on one-on-one conversations.
- Limits attendance to working meetings.
- Apply the "what ends this meeting?" test to working meetings.
- Encourage Open Space networking in place of ceremonies.
